American Spirit

I love my country; it stirs me. The ideals of generosity, freedom, and strength are worthy values for my own life. Admittedly my love is a tortured one due to our repeated failures to live up to our ideals. Still American ideals are worth living and fighting for each in our own way. For those who serve through the military, I am in awe of them. For these reasons, I am drawn to photograph the symbols of this nation, sometimes with tears streaming at others with breathless pride.
